A large part of my process is wandering through old books, searching for ways to extract and re-contextualize pictures and texts. I gravitate toward outdated reference materials. Repurposing these texts with a self-evolved style of collage I produce confounding, nonsensical images, attempting to give new use to obsolete materials.
Recently I've been converting my collages into multi-layered stencil images using spray paint, canvas, wood, and other surfaces. I utilize the stencil technique to produce more traditional portraits, as well. I look to evolve this style in a number of different directions in the years to come.
